Ingredients
- 8 Pork sausages
- 1kg Potatoes, peeled, cut into chunks
- 40g Butter
- 100ml Milk
- 2 Onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp Plain flour
- 300ml Beef or chicken stock
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and black pepper
You’ll need: Large frying pan, Large saucepan
Method
Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook the sausages for 15–18 minutes, turning often, until browned and cooked through with no pink in the middle and the juices clear.
While the sausages cook, boil the potatoes in salted water for 15–20 minutes until tender.
Move the sausages to a plate and cover with foil. Cook the onions in the same pan for 8 minutes until soft and golden. Stir in the flour for 1 minute, then gradually add the stock and Worcestershire. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until thickened.
Drain the potatoes and mash with the butter and milk. Season well. Serve with the sausages and gravy.
Storage
Fridge up to 2 days. Reheat until piping hot all the way through.
