Ingredients
- 2 (about 175g each) Chicken breasts, bashed to an even 2cm thickness
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
You’ll need: Air fryer, Meat thermometer (recommended)
Method
Heat the air fryer to 180°C. Pat the chicken dry.
Rub the chicken with the oil, then coat both sides with the paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Put the chicken in the basket in a single layer, not touching. Cook for 18–22 minutes, turning halfway, until golden.
Check it is cooked: the thickest part should reach 75°C on a meat thermometer, or be white all the way through with clear juices and no pink. If not, cook for 2–3 more minutes and check again.
Rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
Storage
Fridge up to 2 days. Reheat until piping hot all the way through, or serve cold in sandwiches and salads.
