Ingredients
- 4 (about 150g each) Bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
You’ll need: Air fryer, Meat thermometer (recommended)
Method
Pat the thighs very dry with paper towel (dry skin crisps). Rub with the oil, then the paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
Heat the air fryer to 190°C. Put the thighs skin-side up in the basket in a single layer, not touching.
Cook for 22–28 minutes, until the skin is deep golden. Larger thighs need the longer time.
Check it is cooked: the thickest part, not touching the bone, should reach 75°C on a meat thermometer, or be white all the way through with clear juices and no pink. Thigh meat near the bone can look darker even when it is cooked, so rely on the temperature. If not ready, cook 3–4 more minutes and check again.
Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Storage
Fridge up to 2 days. Reheat until piping hot all the way through.
