Ingredients
- 6 (about 900g) Chicken drumsticks
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black pepper
You’ll need: Air fryer, Meat thermometer (recommended)
Method
Pat the drumsticks dry with paper towel. Toss with the oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper until evenly coated.
Heat the air fryer to 190°C. Arrange the drumsticks in the basket with space between them. Most baskets fit 3–4 at a time, so cook in 2 batches if needed; crowding stops the skin crisping.
Cook for 25–30 minutes, turning them over halfway, until deep golden.
Check they are cooked: push a meat thermometer into the thickest part, not touching the bone. It should reach 75°C, with clear juices and no pink. If not, cook 3–4 more minutes and check again.
Rest for 3 minutes, then serve.
Storage
Fridge up to 2 days. Reheat until piping hot all the way through, or eat cold.
