Celebrate life’s sweetest moments with a Tupperware Cake. Taking its name from the notorious airtight plastic container, this delectable cake brings together the delightful flavours of the classic dessert with a quirky storage boost.

Tupperware Cake

This scrumptious show-stopper cake combines the goodness of moist sponge layers, chewy homemade marshmallow and a sumptuous layer of creamy, fruity filling. This pastry is sure to stand out amongst the guests at any party and is the perfect way to make memories that last a lifetime.

Ingredients

– 1 box moist yellow cake mix
– 1/4 cup vegetable oil
– 3 eggs
– 3/4 cup milk
– 2 cups finely shredded coconut
– 2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 1 10-ounce jar maraschino cherries, drained
– 1 7-ounce jar marshmallow fluff

Method

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour 2 9-inch round cake pans.

2. Combine cake mix, oil, eggs and milk in a large bowl. Beat 2 minutes on medium speed. Fold in coconut and pour batter into prepared pans.

3. Bake 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool 5 minutes before inverting onto racks to cool completely.

4. Meanwhile, combine condensed milk and butter in a medium saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thick and creamy, about 10 minutes.

5. Place one layer of the cake on serving plate. Arrange cherries over the cake layer.

6. Spread marshmallow fluff over cherries and sprinkle with 1/4 cup coconut.

7. Spread 1/2 of the condensed milk over top. Place remaining layer of cake over this.

8. Spread remaining coconut over the cake.

9. Spread remaining condensed milk over the coconut and sprinkle with additional coconut.

10. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
