DIY Success Spell Jar

I think it’s safe to say everyone wants to have success in life. Whether success is measured in professional accomplishments, spiritual enlightenment, financial growth, or simply having an overall sense of contentment in life, having a spell jar can help amplify the energetic vibration to help manifest your desired outcome.

Spell jars, also known as prosperity jars, typically involve gathering up herbs, stones, and other items that are believed to be useful for achieving success.

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • A jar with a lid (I like to use mason jars or large jars, but you can use whatever you have access to)

  • A green candle

  • Rose quartz or Green Aventurine crystals

  • Frankincense, Myrrh, and/or Sage

  • Bay leaves

  • Peppermint oil

  • Eucalyptus oil

  • Sea salt

  • Green ribbon or twine

  • Optional: A symbol of success that speaks to you (a picture of a accomplishment, a bill worth a large sum, a trinket associated with a successful person, etc.)

Instructions:

  • Begin by meditating on the intention of success in all its forms. Visualize what success looks like for you. Release any doubts and worries as you clear your mind. Once you’ve reached a peaceful state of mind and heart, begin to build your jar.

  • Gently place the symbols of success, if you are including them, in the bottom of the jar. Sprinkle a few grains of sea salt over the top.

  • Add the herbs and stones next, layering them in the jar. Make sure to energetically infuse each layer with the intention of success as you go.

  • Light the green candle and anoint the jar with the peppermint and eucalyptus oil, repeating your intention with each oil as you anoint it. Blow out the candle and let it cool before placing it in the jar.

  • Tie the green ribbon around the jar and seal it with wax if desired. Place your finished jar in a place of honor on your altar or in your workspace.

  • Finally, carry the jar with you during times when your focus is on achieving success. Open the jar a few times a week and visualize success filling the jar, reaching out to you and embracing you. Every time you open the jar, refresh with a few drops of oil.
