Ingredients
- 8 Bacon rashers, streaky or middle bacon
You’ll need: Air fryer
Method
Heat the air fryer to 180°C. Lay the rashers in the basket in a single layer. Cut them in half if they are too long, and avoid overlapping.
Cook for 6–10 minutes, until as crisp as you like. Check from 5 minutes: thin rashers cook quickly, thick ones take longer, and bacon goes from crisp to burnt fast. Turn thick rashers over halfway.
Lift out onto paper towel to drain. Bacon should be cooked through with no raw, pink or translucent fat.
If cooking a second batch, carefully tip the hot fat from the base of the air fryer into a heatproof container first, as built-up fat can smoke. Never leave the air fryer unattended while cooking bacon.
Storage
Fridge up to 2 days. Reheat until piping hot, or crisp for 1–2 minutes in the air fryer.
