-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
-2 tablespoons olive oil
-1 (15-oz) can crushed tomatoes
-1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-2 cups ricotta cheese
-1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
-1 egg
-1 package lasagna noodles
-2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef, onion, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper until the beef is fully browned. Drain any excess fat and remove the skillet from the heat.

4. In a medium bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and egg until combined.

5. To assemble the lasagna, spread a layer of the tomato sauce over the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with a single layer of the lasagna noodles, followed by about a third of the ricotta cheese mixture and a third of the ground beef mixture. Top with a single layer of mozzarella cheese.

6. Repeat the layering process two more times, ending with a layer of ground beef and mozzarella cheese.

7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover the dish and bake for an additional 20 to 25 minutes, or until the lasagna is bubbly and the cheese is golden brown.

8. Remove the lasagna from the oven and allow it to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
