A Grief Release Spell Jar is a spell jar crafted with the intent of releasing and dissipating grief. It is usually crafted from glass with a cork lid, and filled with salt, herbs, and symbols that are chosen to invoke the meaning of releasing grief, sorrow and hurt from your life. It is then placed in a place of power, such as a sacred place in nature or an altar, and left for a certain amount of time, usually about a month. During this time the person performing the spell visualizes and meditates upon releasing those emotions in order to facilitate the process of letting go. Once the jar is removed and emptied, the spell is said to be complete.
