• 1 kg of Chicken pieces
• 2 onions, chopped
• 2 tbsp green chilli paste
• 1 tsp garlic paste
• 1 tsp ginger paste
• 2 tsp coriander powder
• 2 tsp garam masala
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 6 cloves
• 4 pods of cardamom
• 5 – 6 black pepper
• 1 bay leaf
• 1 tbsp oil
• 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
• 1 cup yogurt
• 1/2 cup coriander leaves, chopped
• Salt, to taste


1. In a large bowl, mix together the chicken pieces, green chilli paste, garlic paste, ginger paste, coriander powder, garam masala, cumin powder, cloves, cardamom, black pepper, bay leaf, oil, turmeric powder, yogurt and salt. Mix well and set aside for 30 minutes.

2. Heat a pan on medium heat and add the onions. Fry until golden.

3. Add the chicken marinade to the pan and mix well. Cover and let the chicken simmer for around 20 minutes until cooked through.
