– 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 2 teaspoons grated ginger
– 2 cloves garlic, crushed
– 2 tablespoons honey
– 2 tablespoons sesame oil
– 2 tablespoons Chinese rice wine or dry sherry
– 2 tablespoons sugar
– 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
– 2 lbs boneless lamb, cut into 1-inch cubes

1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients for the marinade. Add the lamb and mix until the cubes are completely coated. Let it marinate for about 1 hour in the fridge.

2. Heat a heavy-bottomed pan or wok over medium-high heat until it is hot. Add the marinated lamb cubes and cook for about 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the lamb is golden brown and cooked through.

3. Serve the Mongolian lamb hot, with steamed rice and steamed vegetables. Enjoy!
