Indulgently Delicious Arabic Lazy Cake

Ingredients

– ¾ cup Greek yoghurt
– ¼ cup of heavy cream
– Regular or almond milk

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease and line an 8-inch (2L) cake pan with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sugar.

3. In a separate bowl, mix together the oil, eggs, cardamom, rose water, and orange blossom water.

4. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until the batter is well combined.

5. In a separate bowl, mix together the yoghurt and heavy cream.

6. Gradually fold the yoghurt and cream mixture into the cake batter.

7. Transfer the cake batter to the prepared pan and spread evenly.

8. Sprinkle the top of the cake with the sliced almonds.

9. Bake for 30 – 35 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
