Easy Spaghetti Bolognese

- 320g Spaghetti
- 500g Beef mince
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
- 1 Carrot, grated
- 2 tbsp Tomato purée
- 500g Passata
- 1 Beef stock cube, crumbled
- 1 tsp Dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper
You’ll need: Large saucepan, Large frying pan
Method
Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Cook the onion and carrot for 5 minutes until soft, adding the garlic for the last minute.
Add the mince, turn up the heat and cook for 6–8 minutes, breaking it up, until browned with no pink left.
Stir in the tomato purée, passata, stock cube, oregano and 100ml water. Simmer gently for 20–25 minutes, stirring now and then, until thick. Season to taste.
Cook the spaghetti in salted boiling water according to the packet instructions. Drain and serve topped with the sauce.
Storage
Fridge up to 2 days, or freeze the sauce up to 3 months. Reheat until piping hot all the way through.
