Smoothie Recipes with a Vitamix

Strawberry Smoothie
- Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 banana
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
- Instructions:
- Add the milk, strawberries, banana and honey to the Vitamix container and secure the lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn the machine on and slowly increase the speed to Variable 10, then to High.
- Blend for about 30-45 seconds, using the tamper as necessary.
- Add the yogurt and blend for an additional 10 seconds or until the mixture is smooth.
- Serve and enjoy!
Green Juice Smoothie
- Ingredients:
- 2 cups kale
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 1 banana
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
- Instructions:
- Add all the ingredients to the Vitamix container, in the order listed, and secure the lid.
- Select Variable 1.
- Turn the machine on and slowly increase the speed to Variable 10, then to High.
- Blend for 1-2 minutes, using the tamper as necessary.
- Serve and enjoy!
