Smoothie Recipes with a Vitamix

A Vitamix blender is an incredibly powerful kitchen tool for quickly making nutritious smoothies. What’s more, with a Vitamix you can create smoothies far beyond the basics. Here are some delicious and healthy smoothie recipes you can easily make with a Vitamix:

Strawberry Smoothie

  • Ingredients:
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 2 cups frozen strawberries
    • 1 banana
    • 1 teaspoon honey
    • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • Instructions:
    • Add the milk, strawberries, banana and honey to the Vitamix container and secure the lid.
    • Select Variable 1.
    • Turn the machine on and slowly increase the speed to Variable 10, then to High.
    • Blend for about 30-45 seconds, using the tamper as necessary.
    • Add the yogurt and blend for an additional 10 seconds or until the mixture is smooth.
    • Serve and enjoy!

Green Juice Smoothie

  • Ingredients:
    • 2 cups kale
    • 1/2 cup apple juice
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1/2 lemon, juiced
    • 1 banana
    • 1 teaspoon honey
    • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • Instructions:
    • Add all the ingredients to the Vitamix container, in the order listed, and secure the lid.
    • Select Variable 1.
    • Turn the machine on and slowly increase the speed to Variable 10, then to High.
    • Blend for 1-2 minutes, using the tamper as necessary.
    • Serve and enjoy!
