Tiger Sauce Recipe
Tiger sauce is an Asian-inspired condiment made of soy sauce, vinegar and spices. It has a tangy and savory flavor, and works wonderfully as a marinade or dipping sauce. This recipe yields about 1 cup of Tiger sauce and takes 10 minutes to make.
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup rice vinegar
- ¼ cup water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon chili paste
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 teaspoons green onion, chopped
Instructions:
1. In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and mix until combined.
2. Transfer the Tiger sauce to a small saucepan and heat over medium-low heat, stirring frequently.
3. Once the sauce starts to bubble, reduce heat to low and simmer for a few minutes.
4. Remove from heat and let cool.
5. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Tiger sauce is a great substitute for any recipe that calls for teriyaki or sweet & sour sauces. Try using it as a marinade for chicken or fish, or as a dipping sauce for egg rolls and spring rolls. Enjoy!
