– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature
– 3⁄4 cup granulated sugar
– 2 large egg whites
– 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
– 2⁄3 cup ground almonds


1. Preheat oven to 375 F (190 C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg whites and vanilla until combined. Add the flour mixture and ground almonds, and stir until combined.
