3. Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until it is soft and elastic and no longer sticks to the bowl.
4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and set aside in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
5. When the dough is ready, turn it out onto a lightly floured surface, divide it in half, and shape it into two balls.
6. Place the balls onto a lightly floured baking sheet, cover with a damp cloth, and allow to double in size again.
7. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
8. Bake the loaves for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown, and the bottom sounds hollow when tapped.
9. Allow the loaves to cool before slicing.
