A Delicious Old-Fashioned Nut Bread

Ingredients

– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 2 teaspoons baking powder

– 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
– 1 cup light brown sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 1/2 cup vegetable oil
– 2/3 cup milk
– 2 cups chopped nuts

Method

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9×5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and nutmeg. Mix in the brown sugar until fully combined.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, and milk. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

4. Finally, fold in the chopped nuts.

5. Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.

6. Let cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
