Moravian Chicken Pie Recipe


• 2 tbsp butter
• 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
• 4 tsp water
• 2 onions, finely diced
• 1 cup mushrooms, diced
• 1 cup white wine
• 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
• 2 cups cooked potatoes, diced
• 1 cup cooked bacon, diced
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
• 2 sheets prepared puff pastry


1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.

3. Add the chicken thighs and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.

11. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden-brown and the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165°F.

12. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
