A Burst Of Flavorful BBQ Chicken: Mission BBQ Chicken

You won’t find a more tantalizing dish than Mission BBQ Chicken! This flavorful fusion of authentic BBQ and Southwest spices is sure to make your taste buds come alive. The aromatic blend of garlic powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and black pepper creates the perfect balance of flavors.

Before cooking, or “rubbing” the chicken pieces with the spice mixture can be a bit of a daunting task. To make it a little easier, I like to make a large batch of the rub in advance, so I have it on hand for when I need it.

When it comes time to cook, you’ll want to put your skillet over medium heat and let it heat up before adding the chicken. The caramelized and slightly charred exterior adds the perfect level of char and smokiness to the final product.

Once the chicken is done cooking, set it aside and make the sauce by combining ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, and chopped onion. Pour the sauce over the chicken in a foil-lined baking dish, bake in the oven for 30 minutes, and you’ve got yourself a delicious plate of Mission BBQ Chicken!

I highly recommend pairing this dish with a side of steamed rice or pasta, as it will truly bring out all the amazing flavors of the dish. It’s simple to make, and it’s sure to be a hit with family and friends. Give it a try, and let us know what you think!
