  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon of minced ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground turmeric

  • 1/4 teaspoon of sugar
  • 4 cups of chicken stock
  • 1/2 pound of pork shoulder, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound of shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 celery stalks, sliced
  • 1 cup of bean sprouts
  • 1 package of rice noodles
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup of chopped roasted peanuts


  • Heat the oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
  • Add the garlic, ginger, turmeric, and coriander, stirring for one minute.
