Maurice Lenell’s Chocolate Chip Recipe

Ingredients:

– 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon baking soda
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
– ¾ cup granulated sugar
– ¾ cup packed light brown sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
– 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
3. In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
4. Beat in the vanilla extract. With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the flour mixture until just combined.
