  4. Add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes before turning the cake out of the pan onto a cooling rack.
