Italian Hangover Cake Recipe

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup dried cherries
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan with butter and set aside.
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sea salt, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, beat together the light brown sugar and melted butter until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the milk and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and beat until smooth.
- Fold in the pecans, chocolate chips, and dried cherries, and pour the batter into the prepared springform pan.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before serving.
