Ingredients:
-2 tablespoons olive oil
-1 onion, minced
-2 cloves garlic, minced
-1 pound ground beef
-1 pound ground pork
-1 teaspoon dried oregano
-2 tablespoons tomato paste
-1 teaspoon salt
-½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
-1 cup dry white wine
-1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
-2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the ground beef and pork and cook, stirring and breaking up the meat with a spoon, until the meat is no longer pink, about 10 minutes.
2. Stir in the oregano, tomato paste, salt, and pepper and cook for 1 minute. Pour in the wine and stir to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Cook until the wine has almost evaporated, about 3 minutes.
3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce has thickened and the flavors are well blended, about 40 minutes.
4. Stir in the parsley and season with additional salt and pepper, if desired. Serve over your favorite pasta and enjoy!
