French Salade Nicoise

This classic French salad is full of flavor and a great way to add a little Parisian flair to your meal. – 2 potatoes
– ½ head of romaine lettuce
– 2 tomatoes
– ½ cup of green beans
– 2 hard-boiled eggs
– 1 tin of tuna
– ¼ cup of olives
– 2 tablespoons of capers
– 3 tablespoons of olive oil
– 1 tablespoon of red wine vinegar
– 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
– Salt and pepper to taste


1. Boil the potatoes for about 15 minutes, or until they are tender. Once done, let them cool and cube them into small pieces.

2. Wash and chop the romaine lettuce and tomatoes, and mix them together in a large bowl.

3. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil, and blanch the green beans for 2 minutes. Immediately transfer them to a bowl of cold water to stop the cooking process. Once cooled, add them to the lettuce and tomato mixture.

4. Slice the hard-boiled eggs and add them to the bowl.

5. Drain the tin of tuna and add it to the salad.

6. Add in the cubed potatoes, olives, and capers.

7. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, and a pinch of salt and pepper.

8. Pour the dressing over the salad and mix it together.

9. Serve the Salade Nicoise immediately and enjoy!
