American Fajitas Recipe


• 2 pounds skirt steak, cut into thin strips
• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 large onion, sliced
• 2 bell peppers, sliced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 teaspoons chili powder
• 2 teaspoons ground cumin
• 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
• 1 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• 8 flour tortillas
• Shredded cheddar cheese, for topping
• Sour cream, for topping


1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.

2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak strips and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

3. Add the onion, bell peppers, garlic, chili powder, cumin, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, and smoked paprika and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes or until the steak is cooked through.

5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

6. Meanwhile, lightly grease a baking sheet with cooking spray. Place the tortillas on the baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.

7. Remove the tortillas from the oven and fill with the steak mixture. Top with cheddar cheese and sour cream and enjoy.
